There is another husband/wife team who lives near us and also goes by the name 'The Gores'.  We were unaware of The Gores from Tabor City until we began our current ministry.  Out of respect for the other family, we have decided to help distinguish between the two of us more by changing our name to Whitman Gore.  Whitman is Gail's middle name and also her maiden name which was kept when we married.  Gail traveled with her family as The Whitman Family Singers for many years.  So, when you hear Whitman Gore, it is formerly The Gores of Fayetteville NC.
